Top 5 Web Operating Systems

Web operating systems are a great way to access all your data from anywhere in the world (provided there is a computer with an Internet connection and a Web browser). They are especially handy if you have several computers, travel a lot, but want to keep all your stuff in one place and want to be able to use your favorite applications as well.

Now at this point you might think: “Hang on! Web OS? What is that?” Basically, a Web OS is something that resembles an operating system on the Internet. It’s your own virtual desktop that is not tied to any physical location, which enables you to access it from anywhere with a browser. Webtop is another word for a Web OS. Don’t confuse Web OS with remote PC – in the case of remote PC you just access your computer through a network.

Let me share with you 5 Web Operating Systems that are simply the user friendly, easy to use and include many features.

1. icloud

icloud is my absolute favorite. Not only does it look great, has pretty much any application you might need, but also offers up to 50GB of online storage, easy sharing, and an application development feature. Let’s have a look at what it has to offer:

  • WebDAV-support allows direct access to your icloud-storage from Windows Explorer
